Children with APD will become adults with APD and the difficulties that they experience will continue. But being an adult comes with of different, very challenging situations. These can include  finding and keeping a job, and working out what support they need for their individual range of APD difficulties and other conditions. They will need to decide what would be a manageable career for them and what makes a suitable workplace for their needs. This is often a process of trial and error, which can be both stressful and distressing.
