PRESS RELEASE
There are many ways to help promote awareness of APD and support those affected by it. You can share this website or individual documents and presentations from it, or share the press release. Please also share our regular social media posts about APD on Twitter/X, Instagram. Linkedin and on our Facebook page. You can use the icons below.

APD TESTING CENTRES
Currently, in England, there are only 3 NHS testing centres for children in England and 1 in Wales, and each of them has just 1 for adults. There are none at all in Northern Ireland and Scotland. Please click the box below to read, download and adapt our free letter templates to write a letter or email to your MP, hospital, local health board etc. Guidance notes are provided.

AT WORK
If you or your child have been refused a referral for full APD testing at a testing centre of your choice, this is a letter for you to adapt and send. If you live in England you can quote NHS Patient Choice (this does not apply in Wales). Please read the "APD testing centres" document on the Diagnosis page. (screening is not recommended).
This is a letter for you to adapt and send to your school to complain if your child has been refused any or all of the reasonable adjustments, equipment, or the support at school as recommended in the diagnosis report. N.B. You must first have asked for reasonable adjustments or support and allowed time for them to provide them before making a complaint. This letter can also be used if what is provided is inadequate, or inappropriate. You can also adaopt the letter if you are an adult needing support in edication/
This support is a legal obligation.
This is a letter for you to adapt and send to complain if you have been refused reasonable adjustments, equipment, or support iat work recommended in the diagnosis report. N.B. You must first have asked for reasonable adjustments or support and allowed time for them to provide them before making a complaint. You can also use this letter or if what is provided is inadequate, or inappropriate. This support is a legal obligation.
